OK it’s taken us quite awhile to switch from recording in standard video to high definition, but we’ve finally taken that leap and are now recording only in HD from now on. Why did it take us so long? Well mainly because we had our sights set on a brand new HD camera with progressive scan, which means that each frame is a complete picture, just like one frame of film. But it was too expensive for us, so we waited and waited, hoping that we’d be able to buy it one day soon. But that “soon” never came, so we decided to use the same camera Jeremy Roddick is using, since we work with him everyday anyway. He’s an integral part of our company, and we share whatever we need to, including equipment, so it seemed like the logical thing to do, sharing the HD camera.

So even though we were late to make that important step, it’s better late than never. And since one of my main jobs here is to process all the pictures we put out (I’ve finished around 40,000 pictures in the last ten years, woo hoo!), I’m actually pretty impressed with the improvement in our screencaps now. Check out the difference in the two screencaps below. The one on the left is the old one, and the one on the right is our new size. Oh and plus, we’re also adding all of our high-res photos for each scene into the member’s area on both Videoboys and Squirtz. So if you’re already a member, then you have something new to enjoy. And if you’re not yet a member, well now you know what’s in there waiting for you, lol.

So what do you think? Leave me some comments so I can know if you think it’s an improvement or not? :)
