Mateo has lived in Quebec for a few years now but he was born and raised in Greece of Algerian parents. Though he embraces many of the gay stereotypes, working as a hair dresser, great attention to fashion and grooming and so on, his one concession to masculinity is his great skill at soccer. Mateo told us about how he found a great way to get good marks in his French course. He got 80% on the written exam but his teacher gave him A+ for the oral.
