Happy Birthday fellow Libran, hope it was a good one.
What kinda dog is Buster? He looks kinda like a poodle mix. A man with a dog is a good thing because he comes home at night—-a little something I learned from Helen Gurley Brown during my stint at Cosmo. Don’t get unduly witty. ; )

Yes, good eye! Buster is half Cocker Spaniel and half Poodle, so he’s a Cockapoo. Which sounds dirtier than it really is. Cockapoos first appeared in the United States in the 1950s, and they’re wonderful dogs. Buster’s so playful and healthy, he’s never been sick a day in his life and he’s just about to turn 11 years old. And he still looks and acts like a puppy and is full of energy. His main flaw is that sometimes he lures you in by looking innocent and like he wants to play with you, then he suddenly freaks out and bites you a little. But you know what they say: dogs are just like their owners.

Sorry to miss your birthday so late, but I hope you really had a great time. May you live another 100 or so healthy and happy years!

Nothing escapes my eye, which probably makes me a good editor. Buster is one cute Cockapoo. No way that could NOT have sounded dirty—apologies!
Nobody has ever lured me by looking innocent only to end up biting me. This is a trend I suggest you not start. I am worried that Buster will freak out when he sees you as Tiny the Clown, and that it will fill your tiny clown heart with evil glee. Eh, it’s one day—let’s hope— so enjoy! xxoo

BTW: If—when—I get a dog it will be a female West Highland Terrier who I will name Aunt Clara, because it’s funny and I am totally retarded. Perhaps she and Buster can date while we chaparone sipping dirty martinis.
